Sugarland’s New Music Fits Right Into Today’s Country Scene

Sugarland’s new album “Bigger” is due out next Friday, and fans will notice that the songs on the album fit well with today’s style of country music, which seems to cross genres. But the duo insist it’s not something they deliberately set out to do.

“We didn’t listen to it and go, ‘Oooh, let’s do that,’” Jennifer Nettles explains, “but we just feel like the stuff that we are naturally inclined to do, that there is much more space for that now.”

Jennifer says it’s “fun,” to get to play “with all these influences that we have,” with Kristian Bush adding their new music is, “right on time.”
