Rascal Flatts' Jay DeMarcus recently released the very personal memoir “Shotgun Angels: My Story of Broken Roads and Unshakeable Hope,” and his bandmate Joe Don Rooneysays they are very “proud” of Jay for doing it.
“It’s not easy to open up and share things with the outside world that don’t know what’s going on with you and your inside world,” he says. “It’s brave and it’s bold and we’re proud of him.”
As for whether the band plans to write a group memoir, it is a possibility, with Gary LeVox joking, “The real story’ll come out with the Rascal Flatts book when we finished writing that,” adding, “You thought you knew, but you have no idea.”
