Matt Stell Lands First Number One With Debut Single

There’s a new number one on the “Billboard” Country Airplay chart. Topping the chart this week is Matt Stell’s “Prayed For You,” his first ever number one single. The tune is also the first debut single to land on top of the chart since November, 2018, when Jimmie Allen scored a number one hit with “Best Shot.”

“As an artist and songwriter, this is always the goal you’re chasing,” Matt shares. “I’m really lucky to get to collaborate with my co-writers. Sharing this honor with them, as well as [my label] team, makes it even sweeter.”

Elsewhere on the chart…

  • Whiskey Myers is number one on the Top Country Albums chart, moving 42,000 equivalent album units.
  • Marshmello and Kane Brown’s collaboration “One Thing Right" is number one on the Hot Country songs chart, Kane’s third number one on the chart, and Marshmello’s first.
