It was a great weekend for new music, with a bunch of artists sharing new songs with fans.
- Loretta Lynn shared a collaboration with Margo Price on “One’s on the Way,” which was the title track of Loretta’s 1971 album. The collaboration is featured on Loretta’s upcoming fiftieth solo album, “Still Woman Enough, which drops March 19th. “I chose ‘One's On the Way’ because it's an important song,” Margo says in a behind-the-scenes clip. “It was an important song at the time and it’s still an important song—to be able to talk about birth control and women’s rights in country music is legendary.”
- Walker Hayes has released the new song “I Hope You Miss Me,” which he was inspired to write for his daughter Loxley. “To me the sounds of this song and the lyrics emotionally embody something my daughter, Loxley, told me one time when she was 4 years old—‘daddy you can hold me, but you can’t hold me forever,’” he shares, “that’s what I hope ‘I Hope You Miss Me’ feels like.”
- Keith Urban has teamed with Australian singer Amy Shark for “Love Songs Ain’t For Us,” which was co-written by Ed Sheeran. Amy says the song is “so classy and timeless,” that she “needed to find a class act to join [her],” adding that Keith “is so professional and well respected around the world…it was a no-brainer.”
