Chris Stapleton is lending his voice to “Toy Story 4.” The singer has recorded the new song, “The Ballad of the Lonesome Cowboy” for the much-anticipated animated flick, which drops June 20th.
“To me what has made the ‘Toy Story’ films hold up over time has been the strength of the stories and the songs and the writing and the characters,” Chris shares. “There’s something for people of all ages to enjoy in the world that is ‘Toy Story.’”
The tune is expected to play over the film’s end credits, and was composed by Randy Newman, who wrote previous “Toy Story” songs, “You’ve Got a Friend in Me,” from the original flick, and “Toy Story 3’s" “We Belong Together,” which won an Oscar. Check out the song above.
