PBS’ annual “A Capitol Fourth” celebration will be happening this year, although it will be a bit different than in past years thanks to the coronavirus.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the traditional live special won’t be held on the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol, and instead it will feature pre-taped performances from iconic locations across the country, including Washington, D.C, New York, Nashville, Los Angeles and Philadelphia.
The 40th anniversary presentation of “A Capitol Fourth” will be hosted by John Stamos and Vanessa Williams, and will feature performances by Patti LaBelle, John Fogerty, The Temptations, Trace Adkins, Andy Grammer, Yolanda Adams, Brantley Gilbert, Lauren Alaina, Broadway stars Brian Stokes Mitchell and Kellie O’Hara, and more.
It will air July 4th at 8 pm on PBS.
